But I heard something yesterday and I found it to be very impactful because we've been talking about independence and what we have to overcome so we can be able to feel the freedom and feel the change of bondage to be broken so we can be free. But what does that really look like? You know?

4:55 One of the things that I have learned in my journey and what I've been teaching is for us to be transformed, we have to submit ourselves Christ. We have to submit ourselves to God completely. And last week we were talking about many different things and I said, Okay, I'm working on a sermon called No U Turns. And I was just like, Okay, this sounds like a pretty good opportunity for us to kind of talk about it. So what I wanted to do and what I heard. This is not a science experiment. So I do have my safety goggles on with my glasses, so I'll be okay. But one of the things that I want to share with you is that God, it's like this cup of hot water, okay, And this is what God makes available to us all of this because God is pure, God is transparent. God doesn't hide anything from us. And you'll have Christians and you'll have people that will say, oh, I know God,

6:26 I know how God works. We are kind of like a tea bag where when we want to dip ourselves into God, but we don't stay in there long enough because we want to live our own lives. Oh, I want to hear about God. So this is Sunday. We're in church, We're listening to God. As you notice, the water hasn't changed. So we're stuck between we continue to live our lives or do we submit ourselves totally.

7:10 Then as things get difficult, very similar to the children of Israel. Oh, we were slaves for four hundred and thirty years, but we want to go back to Egypt, and then the bag comes out. We want to go back to the way it used to be. That's the way we used to know. But we don't allow God to change us, God to affect us. When you give yourself completely to God and you study the Word and you are involved completely with God and you're listening to him and you're walking his path, what's going to happen over a period of time is the water begins change. And when when the water changes, this is the significance of how you change. Do you see how the water has changed colors? Because now we're submerged with Christ, we're submerged in his word. We're living inside the living water, and this is where we don't thirst anymore. This is where we get fed. And when we continue being submerged over time, it's no longer clear because now we are integrated, we are consumed by God and

8:41 we're living our life according to the Holy Spirit. So this is what transformation looks like when we allow ourselves to be dipped into the water. That's how real change begins. When I when I heard this and I pictured it in my head, I said, Wow, what a great visual for someone to see what real transformation will look like. Because God is making it available to us. That's why it's crystal clear. But now that we're submerged into it, we're connected, and that's what it's all about. It's being connected to Christ. So that's something that I wanted to share. We just experienced Independence Day on Thursday, and it really you're welcome country see it, and it really allows us to see what it really looks like because we just can't say we're a Christian and not be submerged because then we're living a double life.

9:50 And living a double life is twice using the word double, you're working twice as hard. When if when by making the one decision, when you're focused on Christ and you're focused on learning, and you're focused on absorbing what the Lord and the Holy Spirit has to say, you don't have to work because the Cross did the work for us. And when we experience what the Cross did for us, now we become the living witness, the living testimony of how God changed us to be part of Trinity, being part of the family.

Don't you have to continue to work at it? Yes, Misty, that's I was going to get into that once you make the determination that you know what, I'm sick and tired of being stuck. I'm sick and tired of worrying. I'm sick and tired of this. I'm sick and tired because that's sicking and attiring is not in the Worrying is not getting you out of anything. It's just keeping you like that Gerbil the hamster on the on that round wheel, that's spinning wheel. So when you make up your mind saying you know what, enough is enough? Now enough is enough. I've got sixty six books that say to me in chapters that say to me that you've made a covenant with me, that you love me, you made me in your image, that you love me regardless, and that you will as long as I live my life to you and listen out for you. You got everything else covered.

11:48 I kid you not, just today, yesterday, and this is every day. But just today I was doing something for my daughter has now become a legitimate business person, and oh thank you Jesus. But I did some things to help her out because I know she's still in school. She still got to go to certain do her thing, and I did it. And I kid you not. I was checking a certain legal entity to make sure to see if everything was uploaded yet, and it wasn't. So I between yesterday and today ministering to people, praying. I got up this morning singing my song and I was singing to my dog and she just looks up at me and she's like, okay, mom is on that spield. But I was singing to the top of my voice. I had three sets of kids here that are sleep adding care. I'm just giving him glory, giving him praise. I did a ten minute workout because I was trying my best not to pick a look on that website to see if things were uploaded, because like why, I gave it to God. I gave it to God.

12:58 I said, I can't do no more. I've done everything I can for her. I've done everything you told me to do. I'm done, okay, and you get tempted, you get tempted. I want to just look, let me just look one more. No, no, no, and I'm fighting with my first I started out crazy and then ended up doing doing a fast, ended up doing the fast. I didn't eat till later on, and but I didn't miss food. I was just studying my word and I'm just singing. And then I went to my YouTube channel and I had to focused the profits that are uh that are prophets. I had to I listened. I just listened. I immersed myself with spiritual things so I wouldn't get on my phone for nothing else. I went and I cut the TV on and then oh no, I'm sorry. I every thirty days I revisit my have not because you're asked not vision board. It's on. It's on a clipboard on my favorite uh uh stationery and the day is it ate, So I do it the eighth of every month. And so I said, oh, I'm not doing anything, so cut the TV on and I let it go to the gospel chapel. So all I can do is have praise and worship. Satan could not touch me. He could not do anything.

14:13 He didn't make me look at Nobody bothered me. And I'm telling you one hundred supernatural manifestations favor overflow I experienced in the last thirty days, just to let you know that all this I'm doing. Then Belissia text me. She said, MO, I'm calling you. I said, oh, I didn't hear you. So I go to her. I said, what's going on? She said, what does this mean? Your information has been uploaded. It will get take us three days to upload it, but to appear on the website. But it is here. It is done, and here's your proof if you need it. I couldn't even cry, y'all. I couldn't even cry. I couldn't even I was trying to cry to give him praise.

15:00 Thank you you did it. I didn't have to look at it have to It's done. And that's what he will do. While you're doing what he tells you to do in the front, he's got your back. While you're doing it. In the quiet place, he's got you. He will lift you up. He will draw mento you. So when we're talking about physically, physically your health, people of God, you've got to get in shape. I don't care how you do it. I don't know what's here. I don't know what the attack is going to be. I don't know on which side north southeast, west, I don't know. But all I keep hearing constantly is we've got to be able to endure. And it's not the endurance of you know, putting up with things, or you know, the inflation. No, no, no, it's physically you've got to be able to. Yes what they was it Saturday. I went three places, y'all three places, and I was so exhausted that heat here in Orlando.

16:03 I was so exhausted. I'm like, Lord, Jesus, please let me make it home. I mean, my I was just sweating through my clothes and everything, and I couldn't even wipe anything fast enough. And I'm like Jesus, but thank goodness, my breathing has calmed down, so I know my working out is being becoming effected. But you got to get in shape. You gotta get his shape. I'm not saying go runner, five k marathon and stuff like that. I'm not telling you that. I'm just needing physically. You got to physically get yourself, get yourself some habits, reduce, you know, get rid of some habits. Whatever you have to do tonight, I'm here to tell you do whatever you need to do to make sure you're comfortable in Christ. You're comfortable in him. He is your comfort zone. Okay. Financially that's the big one. Now for those of you who's working at a job who's been the payment that does not still don't allow the ends to meet, you're gonna have to step back and take a look at that. What's some side things you can do where you can make some create another stream of income. If you like to bake, I'll be baking you on social media. Show. Hey I've got cakes for forty five dollars.

17:21 I think cakes are up to eighty dollars now, but you know I got I make cakes, I make pies, or I do crocheing. Create the side hustle it's your hobby, but create the side hustle, because if you're not making the money enough money to deal with your bills, I don't know what else to say to you. Businesses are closing. We already know that it's only gonna get worse the closer we get to this presidential election. It's gonna get worse. Everybody's panicking. So you need to take a look at your finances. Now I can tell you seed in your way and pay beyond, which is beyond your tithe and offering. That is the key. That's one of the mysteries of revelation. Planting a seed, sending a seed somewhere, and that's financial. Now, I know, mankind has had to make it more applicable. So when they fast, they don't fast from just from food. They fast from using the cell phone, using the computer.

18:17 I get it. That's what man do. We're gonna they're gonna try to compromise. They're gonna try to put some other things into it. You know, no fasting means you put turn the plate over. There's no place else in the Bible that says, oh, these are other things you could consecrate yourself. I've not seen it past. You you correct me if I'm wrong that you know, clean your camels, you know, washed, you know, set, sweep the sand off the you know, I've not seen it when they say consecrate, when they say fast, Jesus said, And the fourth feeding of the four thousand, when he looked, he was walking, and I'm gonna let you speak past. But he was walking, he happen to sit down and say, oh, oh, my goodness, what are all these people? He said, he counted about four thousand men, not women and children. He told the disciples, you got to go get them something. He just fad the five thousand. But the very next chapter he's feeding the four thousand. It's four thousand just men he counted. He's counting, but women and children were He said, go get something something, unless they think I called the fast. That's key. God needs to call you to the past. I know churches do it and stuff. I have no problem. That's not an issue. I'm not saying that. But you have to have your own time set of setting, setting aside and turning over the plate. Yes, sir, wow. What I was gonna say is you don't want to say that you're gonna fast and saying, well, I'm gonna fast from Starbucks and go to dunkin Donuts. You know it doesn't work that

19:48 way. And you you're a spot on miss Gray. You know fasting. You know, at one point in time, I figured, well, fasting is just giving up something for a period of time. Then the whole point is But when you go back to it, what did you learn? And that to me is absolutely essential because I was between appointments last week and it was like at a very interesting time, my back to back appointments. It was in between where I normally eat lunch and then dinner, and it was around three o'clock and I'm like, wow, I really need to eat something because I'm hungry. But I said, you know what, Lord, you got me through my fast because I focused on you. I prayed on you, and that's what I'm gonna do right now. I'm going to focus on you. I'm going to give you thanks for the opportunity to help your children with insurance and turn it over to you. Hunger was gone. My hunger was gone because I focused on the one feeds me at that point when I and the appointment took an hour and a half and by the time I got done. I'm like, wow, it's four thirty. I was able then to grab something, but I thanked God to get me through. What I needed to get through was because of Him. And I know people are on

21:22 medication and they have to have food. Well, one of my blood pressure medications that I take, I'm supposed to take in the morning requires no food, So I definitely can fast from six am or whenever I wake up in the am, to twelve noon or to one o'clock or to three as long as when I eat, I eat. I take the other medication that requires food. Some of my supplements, my vitamins, don't require food, so I sip a little water. I'm done now for me, I'll go back to a couple of things I've learned along the way. The reason why I pray, I play. I play gospel music is that makes the ending, that makes the devil himself very angry, so he can't he don't have access to me because I've got gospel music turned the knobs turned up a little bit.

22:18 And that's that's what you know, that's he can't he can't hear what I'm saying. And also I pray in the spirit and or I pray scriptures, so that really makes him angry. So he leaves me alone. He leaves me alone. The phone will be trying, you know, any other time, the phone will be ringing and all that kind of And that's what the voice messaging is all about. Cut the phone off, let it go to voice message, mute it. I sit now, and it's been over ninety days. I'm sitting with my phone muted. It's right next to me. And if I happen to Michigan's I'm nodding off or I'm doing something, I'll call you back because I'll see that you called. But I love it, and I love my voice. My ringtone is the Sandford is Sun music.

23:03 I love it. But I don't want to hear anything. I just want to I want to be in a quiet place. I gotta practice silence because I'm a loud person. I project, you know, and stuff I talk. I'm a speaker. I just like the quietness at times. I really do. So now going back to you know, you have to do what you need to do for yourself, guys, okay, because like I said, I don't know what. And Saturday morning, when I got up, I was telling my oldest son. I said, we got to praise God. You got to prayer. I said, don I know somewhere in the world that at least three people didn't wake up and the Lord. Then I turned I turned the TV on. It happened to be on the news station at an odd news station, and they were talking about there were seventeen murders in Chicago between the fourth of July and that Saturday. It was the football player young man who just got I think he just got drafted. He was in a car accident and three of them died. Then somebody went and shot up some people and there was five of them dead. And it ended up thirty one people. Thirty one people as of Saturday morning didn't make it.

24:12 They didn't see Saturday. I just said three and I put it on my Facebook page adding it up thirty one people. So we got to praising. Why you can praise God, he will, He will map it out for you. And I've shared this story with you all. You know before when I first separated from my second husband. You know I child support is not an income. It goes to the children, and that's for my twins. And I was like, I was, I had my own office. I had my practice. I was doing my voiceover work and my acting work, my commercial. But it wasn't enough. It wasn't steady money. I need steady income. So I said, okay, Lord, I have to go and find a job. Now, Lord, I need a job that I could work thirty six hours a week. I know it's going to include a week somewhere. And I had a condo and I had the ur model Nissan Armada. So my bill, those two bills on the first of the month, was over fifteen hundred dollars. So Lord, now you listen, this is how I was praying. This is prayer. This is prayer.

25:15 Lord, I need that first paycheck to be over fifteen hundred so many dollars and thirty four cents. That's praying strategically thirty six hours, one weekend, flexible schedule so I could decide, and the paycheck's first paycheck had to be over fifteen hundred dollars after taxes went the Holy Spirit said, hey, go buy your pill box first before you go pick up the twins from school. Went to the pill box. There's my NSAW National Association of Social Worker manual, little newsletter and in the very back. They have every job for social workers from here to Hawaii. Literally from here to Hawaii. I looked Inland, I looked Florida, looked down in Orlando local Hospital looking for discharge planners.

26:06 You have to have your master's in social work or masters in health administration. I called the number. The young lady who answered would eventually be my supervisor. Supervisor, so we already had a great relationship because I was making her laugh and everything. She said, get me your resume as soon as possible. I said, well, I come from a mental health background. She said, I don't care. Get it to me. I said, I'll get it to you in the morning, no problem. That was a Monday. That Tuesday next ding, I'm being interviewed by two supervisors. On a Thursday and Monday, I was at their orientation. And guess what. I worked thirty six hours a week, one weekend out of the month at three different locations was my choice. I was a floater, so I took care took over the full timers positions. The only question I had for the two supervisors during my interview was and you guarantee me thirty six hours a week?

27:02 And they looked at each other and said we can't. They forgot that those full time discharge planners, at least at those three hospital locations, had not had a vacation in over a year. I was the relief in two years. I never went below thirty six hours first paycheck after in two years, over fifteen exactly what I asked for, including the change. I didn't even know I have been there year. I got a certificate congratulations, you've been with us, and yes, I've been with y'all a year. And I lost weight because everybody took the stairs when they were orientating me. Everybody took the status, do we have an elevator? But I had to go behind them. So they took the stairs, I took the stairs. We only have a thirty minute. God seems to have your back, yes, sir, but it took a minute for me to trust him. I had to get rid of anger towards the biological folks. I had to get rid of the anger towards the ex hub, the first ex husband. I had to get rid of the anger towards a college professor. I had to get rid of the anger. I had to recognize I was angry. I didn't know it was angry, because I'm not an angry person. But you know, I had a spiritual mother that Doug and Doug and Dug and we were together for years and she's you know, she would name it, nail it and let's go, let's get it out of you. Had no idea, but I had to keep to a point where I trusted God. Well, I trusted God because he chose me. Not only he called me, but he chose me. He trust that once I got to him, I was

28:33 not gonna let him go. And I've not let him go. And now that I I don't have to think a thing I could just I don't have to ask. I don't have to ask. I do pray. That's why I could pray for other people. I very rarely pray for myself because he's already answered, He's already given me the answer. I said, you know what, God, I wonder, I said, now, I said, okay, already I wondered in my mind. I was like, oh that's okay. Next thing I know, I'll get an email, I get a Facebook notice, I get a YouTube. I said, Oh, you're real, funny, real, you had me laughing last week. I said, oh, you're so funny. You are so funny, Like I'm gonna go to christ recreeing just because it's donut Day. You're really funny. I got to travel a christ recreed. Okay, I said you're really funny. That's okay. My whole point is this is what you got to do something.

29:22 And you heard the saying in order to get to a place you've never been, you got to do things that you've never done, and you've got to trust them. Guys. Now, I need to know the three of you, the four of you, there are five of you that follow us faithfully. I need to know that you trust God period. Just like you're hoping that we're on and we're on live every Monday night and we're gonna say something that's gonna just be an ah ha moment for you. Just like you have that expectation, I need you to reverse that and give it to God. If you could do anything for me, and I'm just speaking for myself, if you could do do anything for me, just like you trust that whatever we're gonna say and talk about is gonna be like, oh wow, I didn't know that, Oh wow, I could do that. That's it.

30:11 Yeah. Yeah, But we're trusting in him. I was telling a few people this weekend and pastor, you come on in. I was telling I said, well, you gotta I'm resting in the Lord. And they're like, yeah, but yeah, I gotta do this, and I say, no, you'll have your keep, you'll keep moving, you'll be actively doing something, but you're resting in him, totally depending on him. So God, I got this thing to do. I got this other thing to do. You make it sound easy, Misty is not. It's not. It's it's getting into that hot water and saying, you know what. I tried it my way and it did not work. It caused me more debt, It caused me more pain. It calls me more sorrow. I made the wrong I made some mistakes. I made some strange decisions. It is never gonna be easy. And the closer you get to him, it get and it's lonely. I'm very fortunate. I got a team around me, and it's my inner circle is very, very small because everybody else I'm teaching.

31:17 I have to get over the feeling of not being worthy. Mickey, you that's why Jesus came for you. Jesus said, I got him. Daddy, I got him, Mickey, she's gonna come. She's coming, She's coming. If you just give it, give me a minute, I'll get him. I'll get it, because she's been chosen, not only called, but chosen. He came for you, Mickey and miss Gray. Uh, you you really have read my mind, because remember over the weekend we were talking about it, and we went I told you that I had signed up for this course. And in this course, I I got an acronym.

We're talking about fasting. How this is. This is not coincidence, folks, This is the Holy Spirit working and and this is what I mean. Uh. The first letter F means forget, forget the old ways, start doing something different. Come the tea bag, learn how to in get involved with the Holy Spirit, learning the word. The ways of the world is the old ways.

32:50 It's the non productive ways. It's ways that's going to always disappoint you. And and and by forgetting the old ways, what you're doing is you're allowing new information to penetrate, penetrate your mind, penetrate your spirit so you can be able to apply it. So if I were to empty this water out, now I've got room to put new information in there. And then you have the a for becoming active. And when you're becoming active, you want to remind yourself schedule on your calendar today, I'm going to read fifteen minutes with the Bible. I'm going to spend fifteen minutes today with Christ.

33:40 When you know what, you want to keep it consistent, because with healthy habits creates a new person when it creates healthy habits, and that's where you really get to really activate connection. Not only are you working vertically, but you're also working horizontally, and that's what's going to help out tremendously. Then a state of mind, Now, this is that self talk that we give ourselves. If we're talking to ourselves and we're saying, I am successful, I am a new person, I am different, I have transformed. You're using different words to fix what you've been told for so long. And then the lies that you are hearing from the spiritual world. You're not worthy, you're not smart, you can't do this, you can't get this new job, you can't apply for that job because you're not qualified. That's that state of mind that you have to fix. And by fixing that, by changing the way you approach things. And then the last word is tea teach what you've learned, you want to teach others. And by you teaching others, what's happening is you're solidifying what you've learned. You're having a strong, firm,

35:19 concrete belief system from when you When you apply all of those different the different letters, you're going to become a completely different person and you're going to I kid you not today I sit down as I speak with miss Gray, I would have imagine I'd being a podcast ten years ago. I would have never even imagined being faster. Are you kidding me? But it all got changed the minute I submitted, And and I may we may have a debate here, but I'm not a big fan of the word commit, because every January First, everybody commits losing weight, gving up smoking, giving up drinking.

36:30 When you commit, you're not completely involved, You're you're always giving your way, yourself a way out. I'm a firm believer of surrendering, because when you're in a war, you surrender, you raise your hands. You're saying, I'm not going to fight anymore. I don't have any bullets, I don't have a gun anymore. I give up my own self to you, Lord. And that's exactly what happened to me in January two thy eleven. I was put on my knees by God and I just said, Lord, I am done doing it the way I think you have the plan.

37:22 I am your servant. I am no longer a servant for me. I am a servant you. I am your slave. I will do what I need to do. Praise you, glorify your name, to be your living witness how you've changed life. Amen. And by testimony of junior in college studying with a major of psychology, I had two psych exams on a Friday. This is a Thursday, and I've got all my books and stuff, my note cards and everything you have to get. You have to have almost an A average for your major, and I was double minoring as well, and nothing was sticking. So that time that was I'm gonna date myself.

38:16 Now. During that time, we're just coming out with Shape magazine saying get oxygen to your brain. So my parents, I have the stereo out in the garage, brought this this stereo off, had it but all my life, and I turned it on and I played some rhythm RB and it was the Jackson five and the Silvers and Earth window fire. So I'm in the living room dancing, just dancing, trying to get the oxygen to the brain. Cut a little sweat that I said, Okay, I'm ready now. There was no air conditioned on. My mother firmly believed in opening up all the windows, but my bedroom windows were not open. We had a ceiling fan in the room that wasn't on, and the AC was not on.

39:00 Okay, So I'm sitting there on the floor. I get back on the floor. I'm so happy, and I pick up the stuff and it looked like it was Greek. I said, oh my god, I'm not only go I'm gonna fail both exams. And I begin to cry. And I have been judged because my testimony wasn't crucial and devastating and chaotic to others enough, it was chaotic to me. That's my major. I'm a junior in college. And I cried and I cried, and I find I said, Okay, Jesus, I believe in you. I know you're real. I'm doing I'm telling you. I'm sure you what I did. I'm on the floor, but I do it this Jesus, I know you're real. I'm not making a deal with you, but I need your help. I got to not only pass my two exams, I got to get AI's on my two exams. I don't know what else to do. So if you can help me, if you could just help me, just this one time, I will run for you and never look back. I'll do whatever you tell me to do. I will go ahead and read that boy stop picking.

And I know my situation is nowhere near people who are starving and marriages, relationships are not good, and family really, I know what, Jesus, this is important to me. I believe you want me to major in psychology because I'm in counseling people since I was in high school. So I think it's the route I have to go. So if you can help me, I would appreciate it.
